This blog becomes multilingual!

Over last week, I din’t write some articles because I was busy…

I was busy to find a solution to increase your experience on this blog. Indeed, I would to write articles in two or more linguages and add a googlemap API. With a free WordPress blog, that’s impossible. So I decided to install wordpress. To do it, I purchased adomain and hosting package on 1&1. Also with a friend, I was able to add new functions.

As I still don’t leave France, there isn’t googlemap API but that’s planned.

I let you discovered it HERE!

Belkin netbook neoprene bag

I’m quite satisfied with this netbook neoprene case although it’s bulky. I put three stars because some compartements storage are almost to small and it uses padding instead of molded EVA/polyester as this Case logic bag. But my netbook is totally protected.

Maximum dimensions accepted: 240mm x 310mm x 40mm

To carry my netbook throughout my travel, I bought a netbook bag. It should be as little as possible to put it in a backpack and good protect my netbook.

Little but big enough for a netbook  & its accessories

At first, I chose the Case Logic bag. It was molded EVA/Polyester rigid but it was impossible to put nothing more than my netbook.

So I’ve searched out an other solution. I’ve discovered the Belkin neoprene bag. It’s not rigid but it has plenty of padding, and many storage compartments. I let you discovered it!

Product Presentation

It’s not as little than I should like and some pockets are almost to small. Moreover as it’s plenty of padding, it’s not lightweight. But I don’t find an other netbook case with enought space for a netbook and its accessories, a good protection and a good price.

Two young geniuses

At the moment, I’m doing research about free energy. I’m interesting about Tesla’s works. Nowadays solutions exist but our system hides them. Indeed, if free energy becomes popular, nobody needs to buy petrol, gaz, electricity,…

For exemple: Magnetic Motor by Troy reed

So I’ve found two young geniuses about electricity who explain many useful solutions than anyone can realize himself. I do an article about these two guys because some solutions can help travellers.

Two french series on France 5 about new ways of traveling

Currently, France 5 broadcasts every Thursday from 08:35 pm two french series about new ways of travelling: “Nus et culottés” and “des trains pas comme les autres”.

Nus et Culottés

nus-et-culottesNus et Culottés” is an adventure of two wandering friends (Nans & Mouts) who travel completely naked, without anything. They count on the kindness of people to help them. It’s a real human adventure, with a sense of true values.

In the first episode last week, they started in Picardie in France and they went to Holland. They give a gift to every person who help them without consideration. They suggest their services in exchange of food, sleep, shoes… Once they reach their goal, they leave behind every item people have given them to succeed their challenge. They write a letter to thank every single person who has helped them and, once the adventure is complete, they start a new adventure, allover again and totally naked.

Des trains pas comme les autres

Des trains pas comme les autres” is the story of a man who travels the world only by train. He meets people, discovers landscapes and way of life in each country. He’s really as close as possible to the people and he brings a true vision of their lifes.

He’s a real adventurer because he does’nt really know where he goes but he’s always wearing a smile. He takes a train, talks to people and then takes an other train.

The short video below is very funny. Philippe Bolger drives a “trainbus” but it doesn’t seem to be as simple as that!

I’ve my plane Ticket

singapore-airlines_logoAs I mentioned Tuesday, I chose Singapore Arlines company. After comparing plane tickets on Opodo, it’s one of low cost companies. I’ve watched many testimonials about it and many people was satisfied. So I decided to take a flight from Paris (France) to Perth (Australia).

At first, I thought that take my plane from London was better about price, but it was a mistake. There is nearly € 150 more than a flight which starts from Paris.

With any service, you can find a plane ticket from Paris to Perth for € 650 five months before.

As well, I took my plane yesterday for € 770 with all options (cancellation, rebooking). Indeed, I’ve waited to late to take my plane ticket without options.

Why don’t use my stopover in Singapore?

Since one month, I think about where do I want to land in Australia? I’ve download the Oceania map to think about it. I hope to round the world after make money for one year in Austrilia. At the same time I want to test Outdoor products in wonderful landscape. So I decied to start by Perth.

Why Perth?

I chose Perth for some reasons:

  • Perth is “less expensive” than Sydney or Melbourne.
  • You are well paid.
  • I research rainforests, waterfalls and not only the beaches of Australia.
  • For the next step (South America), I will leave by East so I will start by West.

Lonely Planet

Two friends who went in Australia for a long time advised me to get Lonely Planet Australia. It was their bible over there.
Lonely Planet is the largest travel guide book and digital media publisher in the world. Lonely It was founded in 1972. It is headquartered in Footscray, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. Therefore, No one knows Australia like Lonely Planet!

I bought 3 lonely planet e-books (helped by a big promotion on the web) towards my round the world:

Those Lonely Planet will help me to prepare every stay for this project.
I will know Where I’ll be going, What I’ll be seeing and How I’ll be doing it.

Also I checked flight price for 2 months on Singapore Airlines. Now that I know where and when I want to land in Australia, I have to face a choice:

  • Stay at Singapore while my stopover for 1h40
  • Stay at Singapore during my stopover for 12 hours

Then I’ve found my question stupid. I’ll travel around the world, it’s better to have a long stopover in Singapore.

Singapore is a nice city with lastly the Marina Bay Sands in June 2010. I don’t know whatever I’ll see!

Moreover Singapore Airlines is one of most safe company. Changi  Airport is one of the best airport of the world for many travellers. Indeed, it has many services.

“In addition to a wide array of duty-free shops and eating outlets, Changi Airport has six open-air garden areas. Open to customers of the airport, each garden represents a different group of plants: cacti, bamboo, heliconia, sunflower, fern and orchid. Changi Airport has numerous business centres located around the airport. Within the international transit area of the interconnected Terminals 1,2 and 3, internet and games facilities, prayer rooms, showers, spas, gym, swimming pool and a hotel are provided. Various lounge areas are provided, some including children’s play areas or televisions showing news, movie and sport channels.” (Source: Wikipedia)

Also if you stay more than two hours, you will be able to take a free bus to round the city.

I let you discover through this video.
